Rev Up Your Passion Potential
The Pleasure Principle
Expressions of love on this special day can be overpowering. Find the right level of expression which suits your situation. For example, when gift shopping it may not be necessary to pick up more than one gift for your partner or object of your affection. If you know the person really well, you can choose the one gift you know will delight.
If you are an all or nothing type of person I salute you. Go big or go home springs to mind. If you play this incorrectly it can backfire – ending your relationship. For example, if you’re planning your marriage proposal to be made on Valentine’s Day it can seem too big a gesture, fuelled by perceived pressure to make a marriage proposal because of the special day.
If, however, you have both expressed an interest in moving the relationship into more serious waters and marriage is something you have both discussed, go ahead and make your gesture. Enjoy the moments leading up to and when making the proposal. If you do this perfectly it will be the only time you will propose marriage to a woman because you’ll be married to the woman of your dreams, and no longer need to worry about making a proposal of marriage ever again.
For those of you who cringe at the romance, big gestures, expense (yes, I said it) and pressure Valentine’s Day often brings to your life, my guess is that you are not designed for big gestures. Your personality suits the more behind closed doors, private, intimate gestures, which are not showy, grandiose or verbose. This is perfectly acceptable too.
It may be the one night of the year where you get all the sex and romance and love and kisses you’ve been craving. Go for it !
If you are blessed to have met your soulmate, every day can be like Valentine’s Day on a micro scale.
Sending her red roses for no reason other than to say ‘I love you’ or frequent telephone calls, text messages, or loving status updates left on her Facebook page can all contribute to showing and telling your beau that she is the best thing to happen to you.
Make her aware of your serious, deep, enduring love for her every day that she can and you can rest assured another man will not take her away from you due to lack of affection !
Love hard, long, and often for best results.
